Coffee is probably one of the most famous and most used morning drinks. There are so many people in the world that can’t imagine the start of their day without coffee.

Coffee does have amazing effect on human organism and the ability to wake us up, help our brain to focus. Latest scientific researchers showed that moderate use of caffeine can have positive effect on our health, prevent heart diseases, diabetes and even cancer. But if you tend to drink coffee more than 3 cups a day, you should know that coffee can also have some negative effects on the organism. If you drink too much coffee it can make you nervous and cause insomnia. Caffeine can also cause resistance and you will seek for it all the time.

Chicory coffee
This is a drink that is made from fried root of chicory plant. It has very similar taste to coffee with slightly bitter taste. Chicory coffee can neutralize the burning effect in the stomach that plain coffee is causing and also regulate the level of sugar in the blood. You can prepare chicory coffee by adding some ground chicory root in boiling water and cook for few minutes. You can add some almond milk or sweetener to taste.


Chai is a drink that comes from India. It is a combination of black tea with spices like cardamom, clove, and cinnamon. The drink is served with small amount of milk and sweetener. It has pleasant soothing aroma and creamy taste which makes it very similar to coffee.

Peppermint tea
Peppermint tea has amazing refreshing taste and amazing aroma that will refresh you. It has the characteristic cooling effect that can soothe pain and refresh your breath. The plant is very common and easy to grow. You can prepare tea from dried leaves. Add fresh or dry leaves in boiling water and cook for few minutes. Then strain and drink the tea. You can add honey by taste.

Lemon water
A glass of lukewarm water with juice of half lemon has amazing health benefits for human health.  Lemon water will fill your organism with vitamin C that will energize you and wake you up. Besides that it can regulate the digestion and improve the health of your skin.

Yerba mate tea
Yerba mate is common tea prepared from a plant that grows in the rain forests of South America. It has amazing way of energizing the organism without any side effects that coffee or energy drinks have. It is rich in antioxidants and nutrients that boost the metabolism and the whole organism. You can drink it cold or warm and there are various ways that you can prepare it one of the easiest ways is to add a tablespoon of mate on 3 cups of water. You can drink it all day without any unwanted side effects.
