A lot of people are dealing with the problem of hard and cracked skin on the feet especially during the summer when we are wearing sandals and our feet are not protected well from the heat, dirt and the skin is losing it natural softness and becomes dry and cracked.
When the feet are not well protected and also not well hydrated the skin becomes harder and it cracks.
The most important thing to do is effectively get rid of the damaged and dead skin cells and hydrate well your feet.
Although there are so many cosmetic brands that sell huge range of foot care products, you don’t need to spend fortune to have soft and smooth feet, you just need some time and few things that you already have in your home.
EFFECTIVE HOME PRODUCTS FOR SOFT FEET
Apply large amount of shaving foam on your feet. Mix equal amounts of mouth wash and warm water and soak cotton towel in the water. Wrap the feet covered with shaving foam in the towel and let them stay for half an hour. Then remove the towel and start rubbing your feet with it removing the foam and at the same time removing the rough and dead skin cells. After you wipe off the shaving foam apply rich hydrating skin on your feet.
This is old but very effective way to get soft feet. Apply some olive oil on your feet and massage them well rubbing all the affected parts of the feet. Put on few pairs of cotton socks and leave them overnight. Repeat this treatment few times a week and your feet will be smooth and soft, without cracks and hard skin.You can use coconut oil or any other vegetable oil instead of olive oil.
Vaseline works great for cracked and rough feet. You just wash the feet and rub them in with Vaseline. Put on cotton socks and go to sleep. In the morning the feet will be softer and smooth.
Add a handful of sea salt in warm water and let the salt dissolve. Sink in your feet for 15-20 minutes. They dry the feet and apply bigger amount of cream and put on cotton socks. Salt bath will not only help you with dry and cracked skin on the feet but it also works great if your feet are tired.
