Choosing right kind of food is most important and can help you keep the disease in control and ease the condition by helping you lose weight, and improve the health and mobility of the joints and with that remove the pain.

There is food for every use. There are some kinds of food that will improve your health if you are suffering from arthritis. Try it. You will notice amazing improvements if you just adopt slight changes in your nutrition. You will be healthier, lighter and you will not feel that much pain.


Fatty fish
Sea fish like salmon, haring, sardine, mackerel that is rich in omega 3 fatty acids will lower the production of inflammation causing substances. There is a study that confirms that 3 tablespoons of olive oil have similar effect as a lowered dose of ibuprofen. But since it is rich in calories you need to be careful with it. A tablespoon in your salad is the perfect daily dose for everyone that suffers from arthritis.

Vitamin C rich food

Vitamin C is very effective against arthritis because it is linked to collagen production. Collagen is the main building element of cartilage and lack of it can cause lowered mobility of the joint and increased level of pain. Food is the best way to supply your body with recommended daily dose of vitamin C. one adult person needs 200-500 mg of vitamin C  a day and one orange contains about 100 mg. that is why you need to stick to natural sources of vitamin C such as citrus fruit, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower etc.

Brazil nuts
Arthritis and other forms of rheumatism can be linked to selenium deficiency. People that suffer from deficiency of this mineral have increase the risk of arthritis and other rheumatoid diseases. Brazil nuts are rich in selenium and just 3-4 nuts can get you the recommended daily amounts of this mineral.

Leeks and garlic
Garlic and leeks are rich in antioxidant known as quercetin. It can prevent inflammations of all kinds and they are natural pain killer that acts same as aspirin or ibuprofen but without harmful side effects. Half cup of leeks a day will get you all the quercetin your body needs a day.

Cherries can also lower inflammations with regular use. They contain pigment anthocyanin that is also powerful antioxidant that can soothe inflammations and pain. Half a cup of cherries or a glass of cherry juice a day is all your body needs to be healthy and with no arthritis pain.

Green tea
Green tea is rich in antioxidants, but the most important is the presence of various kinds of catechins. The most important is the one called EGCG that has ability to lower level of inflammations and prevent joint damaging. 3-4 cups of green tea daily will help you feel better and protect your body from arthritis caused pain.
