With hard and circular movements; massage the area between the thumb and forefinger of the hand. Massage one hand for several minutes and then switch to the other. HOT AND COLD
It may seem impossible but if you soak your feet in hot water the headache will go away. With this method you are pulling blood to the feet, and relieve pressure on the blood vessels in the head.
Put a hot compress on the forehead or on the neck. The heat will relax the muscles in that area.
It may sound ridiculous, but you can try applying cold wrap right after the hot. Cold constricts blood vessels, and then they stop pressure on sensitive nerves. Try cooling down the muscles on the back of the neck because sometimes the source of headache is in those muscles. Put your hands in cold water and let them in for as long as you can. Make mixture of seven drops of lavender and three drops of peppermint essential oil and breathe it in deeply several times. You can also try applying bags of peppermint tea on eyes and forehead for five minutes.
Ginger is very common natural remedy for headaches. Mix half a teaspoon of ginger powder in a glass of water and drink it. Or pour 1 cup boiling water over 1 teaspoon of fresh grated ginger, let the tea cool down and drink it. Ginger can also remove nausea that often comes with the headache. Try to drink a cup of rosemary tea, because it prevents the headaches from becoming more severe. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of rosemary, let it stand for 10 minutes and then drink the tea.
