Put a 250 ml of milk in a sauce pan and add 1 tablespoon of sage leaves. Put the pan on a low heat and bring it to boil. As soon as the milk starts to boil remove from heat and add a teaspoon of butter. Cover the pan and let it stay for 15 minutes. Then strain the liquid and add 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. If you are giving it to kids just ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder will do. Mix it all well and it is ready to use. It is recommended you drink the whole dose half an hour before bed time. It will provide you good sleep and you will not be disturbed by hard and dry cough. You can drink it for a few days until you feel a relief.


It is very important to know that although sage is very good for this kind of health problems, you should consult a doctor and stick to the instruction they will give you, because cough can result with very serious diseases.  Be aware that this drink can stop lactation and can cause complications in people with kidney diseases and hypotension.
