You will need 2 medium size pomegranates and you will need to squeeze the juice. Pomegranate is the most powerful antioxidant among fruits. It has anticancer effect, it also reduces blood pressure and blood cholesterol level, prevents osteoporosis and it is a great antidepressant.
Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, one package frozen berries or 250grams of fresh mixed berries.
Add two teaspoons of flaxseeds in the shake.
Add one big tablespoon of honey; it is good if the honey is organic.
The original recipe is with a few spinach leaves. You do not have to add it at all, or you may replace it with few fresh cabbage or celery leaves. The greens won’t affect the taste that much but they will give the shake extra power.
Half a cup of fruit yogurt, low fat milk or if you prefer no lactose milk, or rice water will give this healthy mix the needed smoothness and make it easier to drink it.
HOW TO PREPARE DR. FUHRMAN’S SHAKE
Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix all for 3-4 minutes. You will get nice smooth and homogenized drink. This amount will give you two glasses of this shake. It will be more than enough to clean and refresh your body.
